Itinerary
Day 1 Oslo
Arrive in Oslo and spend the rest of the day exploring Norway’s sophisticated capital at your leisure.
Day 2 Oslo – Kirkenes – Berlevag
Make your way to the airport and fly to Kirkenes. Upon arrival, proceed to the pier to start your 6-day Hurtigruten Classic Voyage. (D)
Day 3 Mehamn – Tromso
Stop off at Hammerfest, the world’s most northerly town and then continue to Tromso. (BLD)
Day 4 Tromso – Stamsund
Today you pass through the Lofoten Islands, one of the most beautiful areas of the Norwegian coast. Stop off in Svolvaer this evening before bidding farewell to the islands at Stamsund. (BLD)
Day 5 Bodo – Rorvik
Sail across the Arctic Circle and past the peaks of the Seven Sisters before visiting Rorvik, home to an award-winning maritime museum. (BLD)
Day 6 Trondheim – Alesund
Arrive in Trondheim with time to explore this medieval city. Continue past Hitra Island and call in to Kristiansund and Molde before making a midnight stop at Alesund. (BLD)
Day 7 Alesund – Bergen
Your cruise concludes in Bergen. Disembark the ship and make your own way to the hotel. (BL)
Day 8 Bergen
Spend the morning at your leisure before meeting your fellow coach travellers. Enjoy a city tour including St Mary’s Church and the colourful fish markets. (B)
Day 9 Bergen – Flam – Balestrand
Travel to Voss, a historic town backed by stunning snow-clad peaks. Catch a train across the plateau to Myrdal before riding the world-famous Flam Railway through magnificent mountain scenery to the fjordside village of Flam. Take an afternoon ferry crossing of the Sognefjord – Norway’s longest and deepest fjord, disembarking in Balestrand. (BD)
Day 10 Balestrand – Briksdal Glacier – Geiranger
Drive to Dragsvik and cross the Sognefjord to Hella. Continue through picturesque countryside to Skei before arriving at the Briksdal Glacier. Travel by motorised Troll cars to the very end of the glacier and marvel at the breathtaking blue ice. Continue to Geiranger. (BD)
Day 11 Geiranger
Take a ferry across the World Heritage–listed Geirangerfjord. Disembark in Hellasylt and ascend to the Dalsnibba viewpoint (weather permitting) to experience a jaw-dropping panorama of this remarkable natural wonder from 1500 metres above sea level. (BLD)
Day 12 Geiranger – Oslo
Depart Geiranger and travel by coach to Lom, where you can admire Norway’s oldest wooden church, dating back to the 12th century. Continue via Otta and arrive in Oslo late this afternoon. (B)
Day 13 Oslo
Experience fascinating views over the Oslofjord from the Opera House before visiting the Viking Ship Museum and Vigeland Sculpture Park. Continue past the Royal Palace and Karl Johans Gate before returning to your hotel. (B)
Day 14 Oslo - Stockholm
Travel to Stockholm, passing through Norwegian and Swedish forests. Upon arrival, remainder of the day is at your leisure. (B)
Day 15 Stockholm
Meet your local guide for a city tour, including a walk through the old town Gamla Stan and City Hall.(B)
Day 16 Stockholm
Tour concludes following breakfast at the hotel. (B)
